Youth + Family

A trip to The Wolfsonian is full of discovery, exploration, and fun!

Visiting with Your Family

Through our Discovering Design initiative, we offer a variety of experiences for kids and their families to think like designers, explore the galleries, and engage in conversations about art and design:

  • Free Family Days

Bring your #WolfCubs to learn and play with local artists on select Saturdays. Every Free Family Day explores a different theme and includes a hands-on art-making activity plus a musical performance, gallery tour, or game. Check our calendar for upcoming events.

  • Gallery Guides

Take a self-guided tour of our exhibitions! Whether you’re looking for creative creatures or becoming building detectives, each family gallery guide leads to unexpected discoveries. Ask our friendly visitor services staff for the latest guide when you visit.

Visiting with Your Class

We welcome teachers and students for interactive class visits and special programs tailored just for K–12 audiences. Unlock the mystery and wonder of modern-age art and design through field trips, either teacher-guided or led by a Wolfsonian educator, and always free of charge for Florida public schools.

Request a tour by filling out the K–12 form on our Tours page or emailing education@thewolf.fiu.edu.

Explore our STEAM-infused school programs and our signature high-school Zines for Progress outreach program.
