The Wolfsonian has one of the world's largest collections of HIV/AIDS awareness posters, which form the foundation for our upcoming exhibition Messages from a Pandemic: AIDS Graphic Communication, co-produced with The Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab (WPHL). Inspired by that project, we're collaborating with WPHL to delve deeper into recent history and draw connections to the present by asking: What did we learn from the HIV/AIDS crisis, and how did those lessons shape—or fail to shape—the response to COVID-19? Few people are better qualified to answer than the epidemiologist Gregorio Millett, a pathbreaking researcher on health disparities who served as senior policy advisor on HIV in the Obama White House and is currently vice president at amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research. Don't miss this illuminating talk by a leader in the field.

Co-presented with The Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab with support from WPHL's grant from the Lepage Center at Villanova University.
