Poetry is more than just words on paper—it's an art, one often illustrated by beautiful designs or drawings that give image to idea. Find out how authors and artists bring poems to life in this O, Miami edition of Into the Stacks. Just in time for Poetry Month, Bookleggers Library director Nathaniel Sandler and Wolfsonian education manager Oscar Rieveling will guide you through Art Deco and Art Nouveau collection items that combine text and artwork, from the printed page to patterned tableware and stained glass.

Part of O, Miami Poetry Festival 2021 and presented in conjunction with Sandler's Knight Foundation-funded project, Crypt Cracking.
