Storytelling is essential to being human. The process of knowing involves storytelling, and our value systems that determine what is just—or unjust—are influenced by the stories we tell ourselves. We also exist in a planetary context with many other entities (species, rivers, glaciers, oceans) that each have a "story" to tell, and the power of narration helps us create communities and movements like #MeToo, Black Lives Matter, and Fridays for Future.

Held on Wednesdays in October, this 4-part online workshop series touches upon the many dimensions of storytelling with internationally renowned experts from various professions and disciplines. Each day consists of a panel discussion on a specific topic, followed by an interactive workshop with all participants.

October 07 | Introduction
October 14 | Storytelling's relationship to knowledge
October 21 | Justice and healing
October 28 | New possible futures for the planetary community

Sponsored by: The Pachayasana Institute, Counterpoint: Navigating Knowledge, FIU's Religious Studies Department, and The Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab.
