Plastics are everywhere today, but there was a time when they were rare, experimental, and even luxurious. Silvia Manrique Tamayo, assistant director of collections and conservator, and Nathaniel Sandler, director of Bookleggers Library, draw from the Wolfsonian collection as they explore both how early plastics helped shape the modern world and the present-day race to preserve them.

$10, $5 for members and FIU faculty/students | Tickets
