Kick off the school year with an action-packed family day hosted by our friends at the North Shore Park & Youth Center! Create a mini version of yourself with a keychain-making activity facilitated by artist Isabella Marie Garcia, followed by story time with Melissa Gutiérrez reading Westofchester's ABCs of Miami. There will also be a food-themed poetry exchange with O, Miami—write a haiku and trade it for a delicious cookie from Zak the Baker. The first 75 students on site will receive a backpack and book courtesy of The Children's Trust and Bookleggers Library.

Presented in partnership with the North Shore Park & Youth Center. Discovering Design is supported by the Batchelor Foundation, the Tamara L. Harris Foundation, the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Family Fund, and the Seligman Family Foundation.
