Few collections bear witness to the power of typography better than The Wolfsonian's. From attention-grabbing adverts to books, posters, and pamphlets, word-centric works convey information and emotion through the design and layout of type. Explore a selection with our resident type enthusiasts—Bookleggers Library director Nathaniel Sandler and Wolfsonian senior graphic designer Brittany Ballinger—who will illustrate diverse and imaginative approaches to the printed word and highlight the mechanical processes that make it all possible.
This program is presented in conjunction with Sandler's Knight Foundation-funded project, Crypt Cracking.
