How did modernist ideas and aesthetics spread from tiny avant-garde circles into the cultural mainstream? The answer is found in The Wolfsonian Library, which holds many of the rare publications that put new ways of seeing and depicting the world into broad circulation. These works will come into focus on April 20, as teams of FIU graduate students working in the field of public humanities present projects in a variety of media that reveal the material forms of modernism in the early 20th century.

Co-presented with The Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab.
