FIU's three Washington Avenue-based SoBe arts outposts are gathering online for Holocaust and Genocide Awareness Week. In this edition of the informative series hosted by Jewish Museum of Florida, The Wolfsonian, and Miami Beach Urban Studios, we're focusing on exhibitions, collection items, and experiences that honor the resilience of the Jewish community and the memories of those lost during the Second World War. An introduction by Oren Stier, director of the FIU Holocaust and Genocide Studies Program, will lead into presentations on works such as wooden Polish synagogue models (speaker: Todd Bothel, JMOF registrar) and the graphic designs of Austrian artist Julius Klinger (speaker: Jon Mogul, Wolfsonian associate director of research, education + grants). The evening concludes with an intimate performance by violist Michael Klotz.
